Google Plus ID Card
Just a quick post, here. Cleta posted a link during a chat session today, showing a way to create your own Google Plus ID badge. Since I thought it looked pretty nifty, I thought I’d go ahead and give it a shot. All I had to do was enter my Google+ ID number found in the address bar of your G+ profile page, enter my G+ name, my nickname, and the hard part, the date [...]

What makes a Social Network Succeed/Fail?
I don’t know why people say something like “Google doesn’t get social.” Other than the fact that they have tried and failed with social networking in the past. They’re Google. They can afford to try and fail at something. But, as far as I can tell, (and that might not be very far) the only thing that causes a popular social network to fail, is the people who just stop using it. Google Wave didn’t [...]

Firebug vs Safari Web Inspector
It would be nice if Apple would release an update for Safari that addresses the issue of the broken Web Inspector, that they broke. It used to be, if you had developer tools enabled in Safari, when you right click on something and then click “Inspect Element”, Safari would do basically the same thing that Firebug for Firefox does. It brings up a little inspector at the bottom of the page for you to view [...]

Google+ vs Facebook: Competition is a Good Thing
I think I would urge people to keep their Facebook account. Lately, I’m seeing a lot of people say that they’d like to just delete their Facebook accounts and stick with nothing but Google+. What they’re forgetting, is that competition is a good thing. I’ve even seen at least one person say they were doing away with their blog due to the posting capabilities of Google Plus. Anybody notice that Facebook didn’t even have video [...]

Safari Bookmarks
Apparently, I don’t even use them anymore. I posted a link on Google+ a while back just so that I could have a reference for the page later on. Then, a while after that, I thought, “Why didn’t I just add a bookmark in Safari?” Then, I remembered. I hate bookmarks in Safari. I can hardly believe that after five updated versions of Apple’s web browser, they haven’t added a “New Folder” button when I [...]

Google Chrome Extension: Readability
About three days ago, I vowed to myself that I would use a browser other than Safari, exclusively, for at least a week. About three days in, I started really missing my Reader feature in Safari that makes all the font bigger, allows me to read and print without all the sidebar noise, and is extremely easy to use and navigate. I’ve written about Reader before. The other day, I ran a Google search to [...]

Search Engine Optimization
Is there really enough involved in SEO to even write an entire blog post about it? I don’t know. I mean, you blog about a trending topic, you add keywords to your post, add images with meta data to your posts, maybe even embed a youtube video with your post, give your pages a title with some keywords in it, submit your website to search engines to be indexed…I mean, what else is there, really? [...]
