Nike Goes Back To The Future
In case you missed it, yesterday, news spread around the blogosphere of Nike’s new “old” concept shoe from Back to the Future II. Current bid on Ebay, at the time of this writing, is forty-five hundred dollars. So, if you’re someone who has that kind of money and has to have the shoes, what the heck are you waiting on? I wonder if they have, or will ever release a pair, that isn’t so bulky. [...]

What’s Your Favorite Movie?
Over on Google+, Chris Pirillo asked everybody what their favorite movie is and why. Every time I hear this question, the first movie that always pops in my head is Backdraft. Every time. Without digging any further into the vast collection of movie titles up there, Backdraft is always the first one to pop up when someone asks what my one favorite movie is. From the actors, to the story, even the sound. The sound!! [...]

Much Ado About A Name
Troll The link above is to a movie that came out in 1986 called “Troll.” Anybody recognize the names of the two leading roles? o_O Coincidence? I don’t know. I thought it was also funny that two of the people who played roles in the film have the same last name as a character in another novel by J. K. Rowling. I came across this today as I was looking at the cast for the [...]

Recognizing Particular Photography Work In Movies
I was watching Transformers a couple years ago, and noticed that a camera technique they used during the gunfight scene in the hangar, was very similar to the technique used in a gunfight in the movie Bad Boys 2 with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, during the scene when they went to visit the Haitians. The camera is at hip level view, bad guys on one side, good guys on the other, and it pans [...]

R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen
I didn’t know what to think when I saw that Leslie Nielsen was a trending topic on Twitter. Come to find out, he had passed away. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t even realize that he was already 84 years old. I still wanted to know why he died because he always looked like someone who was in seemingly good health to me, and I saw that it was “complications from pneumonia.” That’s too bad. [...]

Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 1
I went to see Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows yesterday afternoon. I bought a ticket a couple hours before the show and then went to Panera Bread to get something to eat and browse the web until it was time to leave for the movie. When I went back to the theater, I walked in, used the restroom, then went to get some popcorn and something to drink. After I got cashed out, I asked [...]

Hulu Lowers Its Premium Price
This is why competition is a good thing. If it weren’t for Netflix, Hulu would probably be charging people $20/month to view any of their content from any device at all. As it stands, they’re now only charging $7/month for their premium service. I don’t really understand how they’re having a problem making money. If you don’t pay for the service, you get ads every time you watch an episode of one of your favorite [...]

Actor’s and Halloween
I wonder what an actor feels like on Halloween. Hey, let’s dress up like somebody else and…pretend…to be…uh….oh for cryin out loud! lol Just sayin… Yeah, I know this was a quick post. But it was something that I couldn’t get out of my head. Now that I’ve written about it, maybe I’ll be able to think about something else. I wonder if they dress up like a character that they want to play but [...]
