I’m reposting this, as I keep getting an error every time I click on the link to view it. I tried to edit it and “update”, but that didn’t work.
I can think of a lot of reasons to blog. I guess the reason for me is that I should be blogging simply because I’m not very good at writing but this is only because I’m out of practice because I haven’t been blogging. I guess it’s because I draw a blank a lot of the time and don’t know what to write about.
Evidently, looking at the date of this post and the date of the last post I made, I’m struggling with some form of writer’s block. But that, in itself, is something to write about.
Maybe one reason for not writing is that first, you start out with a “Title” box. Well, if you don’t know what you’re going to write about, then you certainly don’t know what the title of the post is going to be. So, right from the start, you’re stuck. Then, you decide to skip the “Title” portion and just start typing. And wouldn’t you know it? You’ve got something to write about after all.
Second, you’ve got this big interface to deal with that has all these buttons and whistles that are really just a distraction. They’re discouraging because they’re used for someone who has something really complex in mind, and now you think that, because you don’t want to use all these features, that what you’re going to write about really isn’t even noteworthy. I’m sorry, but I don’t really need to use the bold button, or the italic button, and if I want to insert a link, I don’t need a button for that either.
- If I want to insert a bulleted list for something, I don’t really need a button

I don’t even know what “lookup” or “more” or “proofread” even means in this interface, so, for now, it’s just a big mess that I don’t really need to worry about. I think I’ll stick with the “Quick Post” box, or whatever it’s called. Just start typing, (in the post box, not the title box), hit “enter or return” when you want to go down a line, tab to highlight the “Publish” button, and then hit enter again to publish your post.

P.S. – No, I don’t mean to stomp all over somebody’s interface. I’m just dealing with a problem right now. A serious problem, in my opinion, and everything that ISN’T a solution, needs to get out of the way!
