Joomla – First Impressions
So far, I’ve been able to install and run both WordPress and Joomla on this system using MAMP. The process wasn’t complicated at all. I haven’t, however, been able to install and run Drupal, and I don’t know why. That really sucks, too, because I really like their platform. But, if you can’t get it running, then what difference does that make?
They should make it easier for people to install and configure a Drupal website. As soon as I installed Joomla and gave it my information for the database and connection, I was up and running. There were absolutely not complications whatsoever. I don’t know why things don’t work like that when I’m using Drupal. I really don’t get what the complication is. However, they do have video tutorials on their website, so maybe I’ll take a look at those when they finish loading in my browser. Until then, I’ll be busy listening to Kid Rock and thinking about what to post next while taking a deeper look into the world of Joomla on my local computer.
I wonder what my next blog post is going to be about. I think this is the fourth one today. I wonder if writing like this gets boring for other people to read. Then again, I don’t really care because all of this, so far, has been just for my own personal benefit. It’s working out a lot better that way. Not thinking about your audience can be a very liberating experience. I’m able to get a lot more done that way.
